Our 2023/24 school year will run from September 11, 2023 - June 7, 2024. We will loosely follow the NYC DOE calendar, with week-long breaks in December, February, and April.
Our first week of school in September 2023 will consist of a phase in period, offering shorter classes and smaller groups, with an adult/caregiver welcome to support separation and building comfort in our new environment.
Class Sizes:
2’s (capped at 11 kids) *Must be two by September 11, 2023
3’s (capped at 12 kids) *Must be three by December 31, 2023
4/5’s (capped at 12 kids) *Must be four by December 31, 2023
Please note:
Children must be two years of age to begin attending Wonderforest. For those families who have children who will turn two in the Fall of 2023, they may apply, but their child may not attend classes until they are officially two years old. Families will still be responsible for the full year of tuition to hold the place for their child, until the child can officially begin.
There is a possibility of mixed aged classes (i.e older 3’s and younger 4’s together). This is dependent upon a variety of factors, including the number of families enrolled, the ages of the children enrolled, and group dynamic.
An updated health form and immunizations are required for all children to attend Wonderforest.

A standard day at Wonderforest runs from 9am-3pm
2 days/week, Tuesday & Thursday - $13,300/year
3 days/week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday - $18,200/year
5 days/week, Monday through Friday - $25,800/year

Our tuition ensures fair pay for our teachers and covers the cost of our space, materials, and administrative fees as well as land reparations based on recommendations from The Lenape Center. It also allows us to offer financial aid & sliding scale pricing for families that need it. Tuition assistance is available and eligibility is processed separately from the application process. Your application will be reviewed based on your desire to enroll your child in a preschool that focuses on urban nature immersion and not on your ability to pay. Applying for 2023/24
Schedule a Tour:
Tours will be available Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30a (60min) from Nov 1st through Jan 18th,
Tour reservations must be made through the website (below) at least 24hr in advance.
Adults only (one reservation per family/ 2 adults max).
Photos of the space are permitted but not to be shared on social media. NO photos of children are permitted.

Application Process:
A link to the 2023/24 application will be sent to each family after completing the tour. Once completed and submitted, an application fee in the amount of $95 dollars will be due to process the application.
Once a child’s application has been received, and the application fee has been paid, the application will be reviewed. Offer letters will be sent out at the end of January 2023.
For those interested, the tuition assistance application is available on the Financial Aid page of our website . The financial assessment for each family is done by an independent company, separate from applications for enrollment. Applying for tuition assistance has no bearing on a child’s application for enrollment.
Families who are accepted to our 2023-2024 program will be notified via email. Families will have one week to accept or decline our offer. If you choose to accept our offer, a non-refundable deposit in the amount of 10% of your child’s annual tuition + $115 registration fee will be due to secure your child’s place. This deposit will be credited towards the yearly tuition. Remaining tuition can be paid in FULL or with 9 installments over the course of the year, beginning in July of 2023.
